About this Community
The What Works Institute Business Risk & Integration Learning Community is more than a network - it is a living workgroup of committed EHS leaders dedicated to sharing practices, addressing common challenges, and elevating their organization’s approach to this critical issue.
Community members meet monthly both virtually and at What Works events to compare programs, identify and test new tactics, and push one another on a collective journey of continuous improvement.

Current Focus
EHS Positioning: Identifying the best routes and strategies for positioning EHS within broader business contexts in the current moment.
Sustainability & Governance: Helping leaders integrate EHS into
broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, as well as engage in board, investor, and other stakeholder discussions strategically.
Supply Chain & Quality: Collaborating with key procurement stakeholders to embed safety & risk-informed thinking up and down the supply and labor chain.
ERM & Business Continuity: Increasing the visibility of safety at an enterprise risk level, particularly as a core enabling factor in successful crisis management and operational disruption.
Influence & Change Management: Understanding the points of view held by other organizational leaders, and how to best engage them on critical risks.
This Learning Community looks at the ways in which EHS must be positioned and activated within complex business operating structures, cultures & environments.
The goal is to assist leaders with the strategies, tactics and tools to “show up” the right way, no matter the conversation.
