Current Focus
Evolving Metrics: Transitioning to an integrated, strategic metrics approach that captures and synthesizes traditional lagging and leading indicators, pSIF, HOP, psychosocial risk, mental health & wellbeing data.
Alternative Metrics: Building the tactical routes for measurement of engagement, psychosocial risks, and organizational safety climate, as well as integrating the evolution of recognized standards such as ASTM.
Human-Centric Measurements: Focusing on the entire person, including decision-making, culture, and other factors.
Real-Time Data: Leveraging wearables, IoT, and connected devices to monitor and analyze risk in real time, including the use of AI and other technology.
Cross-Disciplinary Metrics: Combining safety data with operational, environmental, productivity, and other metrics for broader insights.
This Learning Community explores modernizing how safety performance is measured, synthesizing lagging indicators, evolving leading indicators and alternative metrics.
The goal is to shift from a focus on definitions and categorization to actionable, risk-informed, human-centric measurements.
